"CHAndan + jaSMINE" a couple so in love, who complement each other so perfectly that working with them was truly a rewarding experience in itself. Although each of our couples is very special and we learn something from each of them, working with this vibrant, Sikh couple was definitely one for the books.
When Jasmine first approached us regarding her e-shoot, we knew that she had done a lot of research on her own. She came to us full of ideas, potential themes and shots that she wanted for her e-shoot portraits.
After listening to Jasmine describe her fiancee and their story, we knew that both of them were full of life and had very real personalities and in order to do justice to their relationship, we had to go the extra mile. We worked diligently to choose clothes, props, locations and themes that are truly reflective of their personalities. We chose 3 different outfits, 3 themes including traditional, urban and picnic themes in 3 different locations- Distillery district, Graffiti alley and Toronto Island (ward island).
We had never met Chandan prior to the day of the shoot but after spending some time with him, it felt like we had known each other for years. During the shoot, Jasmine and Chandan’s chemistry was evident within minutes which made our jobs that much easier because all that we had to do was pose and explain the shot and emotions only once to them. They effortlessly gave us real emotions and expressions that fit the shot so perfectly.
There are moments and stories that make each e-shoot special and unique in its own rights. Some of the highlights from their shoot were all the laughs that we shared while working with the couple and the friend they brought along to help out with props and set up of pictures. For the fall and picnic theme shoot, all of us were circling the island looking for different coloured leaves to add to the shot. An extra pair of hands is always a good idea and something we recommend to all our couples. Another such memory from their shoot was how we were so focused on the shoot that we didn’t check timings of the last ferry off the island and barely made it on the list one off the island with all our equipment and props in hand. Memories such as these that we share with all our couples is what helps us understand them better and also provides us with creative inspiration.
